I’m Italian and I was born and grew up in Florence, where I still live. Florence is in Tuscany, in the centre of Italy, one of the most amazing areas of the country.

I work at an Italian Bank and I am a Trade Finance Specialist which means to assist corporate customers in commercial transactions with foreign clients. Therefore my tasks are mainly carried out in English. I love my job as it is dynamic and allows me to relate to both Italian and foreign counterparts. I have a daughter who is 22 and lives in Rome where she is currently attending the university.
In my leisure time I cultivate many interests. The most important one is hiking. I started in 2009 and I’m a Member of the Italian Alpinist Club ( CAI) , the oldest and most important Italian association for mountain lovers. I usually hike in groups or with friends, never alone as it would be boring and dangerous. I see many advantages in this: outdoors activity, possibility of switching off from the daily routine, the beauty of the landscapes but what I mostly like is the possibility of meeting people. Hiking is a transversal activity, a situation that brings together people from different backgrounds. In short, everyone walks and by telling stories and sharing their lives you know each other and metaphorically you ‘travel a stretch of road’ together. It does not matter the altitude you reach as nature can really astonish you as we are so small in front of that immensity, even if I’m proud to say I reached 3000 metres last summer!

My other passion is travelling. I personally organise my journeys: the destination, the accommodation, the transport, what to see and even where to go to the cinema or attend a performance on stage. I thoroughly love planning a trip to have the possibility of being there as a local.
English is useful for my job and leisure time too.
Jane entered into my life in 2017, while looking for a teacher to train my English.
Since then we had grown together, our classes seem to me more an evening out with an old friend, a sort of pleasant weekly ‘pizza and beer’ such is her ability to put one at ease.
We also met in person in 2022, in Belfast at the Titanic site, and it was a great emotion!
Happy to have met Jane and grateful for being part of her circle of students/friends.

For her strong professionalism in planning classes, according to the needs, but with the goal in her mind to strengthen in the long run the command of the language and the richness of the vocabulary.
Most of all I appreciate her humanity and ability to bring out the best in each of us and create a net.
